Kuźma Mamonicz (Q383159)
(d. 1607) Merchant and mayor of Vilnius; co-owner and manager of the printing house in Vilnius. Together with his brother Łukasz Mamonicz, he founded a printing house in Vilnius. The first printing house of the Mamonicz family in partnership with Piotr Mścisławiec (1569?) 1574-1576. In the years 1577-1582 the publishing house did not work. Hryń Iwanowicz and probably Wasyl Haraburda were apprentices in the second printing house of the Mamonicz family in 1582-1607. In 1586, it received a privilege from Stefan Batory for the exclusive printing of Greek, Ruthenian and Slavic books in Cyrillic. Since 1601, the Mammonites have used the title of His Majesty's printers. The second publishing house operated under the name "Drukarnia Dom Mamoniczów". In 1607, the printing house was taken over by Leon, son of Kuźma Mamonicz.
