Walerian Karwasiński (Q230645)
(1867-1942) born in Gidle near Radomsko, son of the village blacksmith Kacper Karwasiński and Katarzyna née Rejment, cousin of Władysław Reymont; studied medicine at the University of Warsaw, was active in the student patriotic movement, collaborated with "Głos"; in 1887 he met S. Żeromski; he corresponded with him in 1889 during his stay in Stopnica (Żeromski was in Oleśnica at that time); he worked as a teacher in Radomsko, Piotrków, Częstochowa.
