(1867-1942), born in Gidle near Radomsko, son of the village blacksmith Kacper Karwasiński and Katarzyna née Rejment, cousin of Władysław Reymont; studied medicine at the University of Warsaw, was active in the student patriotic movement, collaborated with "Głos"; in 1887 he met S.
